About 'Return To Earthiness'
The series consists of woodcut prints, digital artworks, mixed media and mosaic. Many of the wood cut prints are hand printed. The ink used is Speedball, Professional Relief Ink and it printed on Fabriano Artistico cotton paper.
To Elin Hauklien nature is brought to life when there is people and the series symbolically expresses how humans are interwoven with nature. In the series faces are abstractly and symbolically expressed, organically interacting like a dance with the earthiness of the soil and the ocean breeze.
